Committed and dedicated people join MS Ireland's National Board

MS Ireland's 2014 Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held on Saturday, 13th September 2014 at the Hilton Hotel, Kilmainham, Dublin 8. One of the highlights on the day was the election of Marcella Flood and Sarah Dempsey to the Board. Dr Susan Coote and Dr Kilian Smith were re-elected to the Board. Thomas Cronin was elected as the new Council Representative, Sean Murphy was co-opted by the board. Paddy Stronge was appointed Chairman of the Board and Bryan Harty was appointed Deputy Chairman.

Margaret Burke stepped down from the Board and we would like to thank Margaret for her diligent and passionate service to the Board of MS Ireland over the past six years.

MS Ireland is governed by a board of 13 voluntary members. Some have MS themselves or have family members with MS. Others have long careers in business management, banking, education, healthcare and other areas. The Board promotes the vision and aims of the Society and charges the Chief Executive to meet these aims through the various departments, services and resources of the Society.
