World MS Day Round-Up

How we marked World MS Day

Wednesday, 27th May across the globe thousands of events were held to mark World MS Day. MS Ireland organised a range of activities around the country.

Dublin

We kicked off World MS Day with an early silent disco at Grand Canal square! See our photos from the day on Facebook

Our North Dublin office held bucket collections in the Pavillions Shopping Centre in Swords and a great day was had by all.

Cork

Our Southern Regional Office organised a rock 'n' roll bingo afternoon. Lots of fun was had at the event. See our photos from the day on Facebook

Limerick

Our Midwest Regional Office held an Open Day at TARA with a BBQ on the deck, coffee and freshly-baked for all who came along. The raffle and book sale were a success with all proceeds going towards providing support and services for people affected with MS and their families in the Midwest.

Louth

Our Louth Branch hosted a coffee morning and everyone attending had the opportunity to take a 'selfie' on the day. See photos and stories on Facebook

Galway

Our Western Regional Office hosted an Information evening with a fantastic line-up of speakers. Dr Thomas Monaghan, Neurologist UHG, Shona Logan King and Dr Una Fitzgerald (NUIG).

Kilkenny

Our South East office organised a pop up shop on the day, spreading the World MS Day message to everyone in Kilkenny.

MS Care Centre

Our MS Care Centre held their annual fun day in Bushy Park Road. Coffee, home-baked cakes and live entertainment meant a great day out for all! Along with the usual car wash there was lots of fun had with a raffle, art and face-painting. What a brilliant day!

Coffee Mornings

Coffee mornings were the order of the day for many areas around the country and what better way to get people together and have a cuppa and a chat than on World MS Day? In Donegal our North West Regional Office arranged for people to come together while our South West Dublin & Kildare Office & South Dublin & East Wicklow Office marked World MS Day with coffee mornings.
