o Branch Annual General Meeting, Wednesday, 7th March. Check calendar

o A quiz night was held in the Star & Garter, Listowel on the 7th November. Everyone had a wonderful night and €2,371 was raised for the branch. Thanks to all who supported this event.

o Annual M.S. Busking Day June 9 2011. There was dancing on the streets of Listowel on a busy June Thursday as the local M.S. branch members and friends set out on their now annual day of fundraising and music. Local volunteer musicians, lead by the inimitable Jimmy Hannon entertained passing motorists and pedestrians for a whole day. A one day only optional toll was set up in Main Street. Passing motorists, tourists, shoppers, farmers on their way to the mart, lorries and delivery vans all contributed cheerfully to the collection. The music was lively and uplifting. Jimmy even dedicated a song to the weatherman who, thankfully had got it wrong – again! Mary Doyle and her band of collectors bopped along to “Here Comes the Sun”.  Guest singers, Kym Williams and Michael McCarthy added variety to the day. Local restaraunteur, John Lynch, provided the power for the amps.  Local pharmacy, Hartnetts of The Square sponsored lunch and refreshments for the musicians and collectors. All in all it was a welcome change from the gloom of summer 2011. The best part was that it made some useful funds for local M.S. services. To view more photos click here

o Tom Costello participated in a "Rally of the Lakes" in aid of Multiple Sclerosis. He would like to thank everyone for their support and kind donations.
