RSCI SU Rag Week 2014

Students raise €10,000 for MS Ireland

As you may remember, MS Ireland was chosen as the official charity partner of the Royal College of Surgeons Student Union earlier in 2014. Following a bucket collection akin to a Dublin City Centre takeover with over 100 students, a series of Rag Week events, 65 students taking on the Run-a-Muck adventure race and a host of other events an incredible €10,000 was raised for MS Ireland.

Thanks to everyone in the RCSI SU for getting behind MS Ireland this year!

Then RCSI SU President Shane Carr said, “We were already aware of the fantastic work that MS Ireland does to help individuals with MS and their families in Ireland through friends who have, or have a family member with, MS so this is a charity that we all felt quite passionate about from the outset. We consider ourselves privileged that we are in a position to contribute to such a worthy charity and of course, this year would not have been as successful if it were not for the effort and participation of the students in the college to whom we owe a massive depth of gratitude for getting behind MS Ireland during the year.
