MRIs are part and parcel of life with MS, and Joan wrote about her experiences during and after her time in the scanner. Like a lot of us, Lauren was hoping we’d be back on our Ryanair flights to sunnier climes by September. It wasn’t to be, but her 10 Tips for managing MS while on holiday is a handy checklist for any upcoming trips. Willeke shared her suggestions for preparing for a Neurology Appointment, to get the most out of your time with your neurology team. Sarah wrote about benefits she gets from exercise and her mantra of “energy creates energy” was a great suggestion. For when we aren’t feeling as energetic, Christine shared some books where the main character has MS. Our dear pal Declan wrote a wonderful guest blog about the Wheelathon he completed around Cork City centre in his wheelchair.

Robert delved into the impact MS has on mental health, which sometimes gets forgotten about while dealing with the physical symptoms. Nadia wrote about the therapy and joy she gets from having her dog Alfie at her side during the good and tough times with MS. The build-up to another Covid Christmas was the subject of Niamh’s blog. Dearbhla rounded off the month with a powerful piece highligting the importance of Disability Activism.

As we reach the end of 2021, we donned our Festive Jumpers for Christmas Jumper Day. Christina wrote about the important reason behind the fun excuse to wear our finery. Rosie is going to round of the year with her blog about Christmas, next week.
