Kathryn Moroney
Kathryn has been a dedicated Branch Committee member since its relaunch in 2014, serving the MS community with distinction for 10 years while enduring severe and untreatable MS pain. Despite these challenges, she has chaired the Financial Assistance Committee with integrity, wisdom, and kindness, always protecting the dignity and privacy of those she supports. Kathryn has balanced her commitments to the Branch with caring for her family, including her mother in her 90s, and has tirelessly participated in fundraising and awareness efforts. Her strength, resilience, and selflessness are an inspiration to all.
MS Carer of the Year 2024
Patsy Fagan
Patsy, nominated by his daughters Karen and Eva, has been a devoted carer to his wife Liz, who has lived with MS for 44 years. Despite the challenges of MS, Patsy remains Liz’s unwavering support, her rock, and her constant companion, cherishing her as much today as when they first met. He has also raised €6,370 for Meath MS with his CD, Patsy Fagan and Friends, while continually raising awareness about MS. Married for 45 years, Patsy and Liz’s enduring love and partnership inspire everyone around them.

Paul Ferguson
Nominated by Ronnie van den Berg of the Louth Branch, Paul has been an active and dedicated member for over 12 years. Whether it’s flag days, church gate collections in the north of the county, or supporting the branch’s Greenway Walk in Carlingford, Paul is always there to lend a hand. He also cares for his brother-in-law, who has MS, ensuring he can participate in branch events. Quiet and dependable, Paul’s steadfast support and generosity make him an invaluable part of the MS community.

Trevis Gleason & Emma Rogan
Trevis Gleason and Emma Rogan have been key contributors to MS Ireland, co-launching the MS and Me Blog, which marked its 10th anniversary in 2023. Trevis, an award-winning chef and writer, and Emma, a dedicated advocate, have enriched the MS community through their work on webinars, podcasts, and advocacy. In 2024, they co-authored Living Well with Multiple Sclerosis, an insightful guide for those navigating life with MS. Their dedication has left a lasting impact, and MS Ireland deeply appreciates their invaluable contributions.
