Therefore, the theme of the exhibition centres around ‘Life with MS’ and the artworks must depict MS symptoms and/or experiences of the condition. All forms of artwork will be considered such as painting, photography, sculpture, pottery, video and installation. Artists may submit a new piece of art or submit an existing piece of work so long as it fits the theme ‘Life with MS’.
Aoife Kirwan, Information, Research and Advocacy officer at MS Ireland notes the importance of art for the MS community and encourages people living with MS to get involved “What’s so great about this exhibition is that people living with MS can portray what it’s like to live with the condition in their own personal way. Plus, the fact that such a wide range of mediums are acceptable means that we will surely receive some very interesting artworks. I encourage anyone who wants tell their MS story through art to get in touch,” she said.
To submit a piece of artwork fill in this form here and send to thomasm@ms-society.ie or find out more about the exhibition contact Thomas McCarthy, MS Ireland at thomasm@ms-society.ie
