From loss of workplace comradery and friends that seem to fade away, to forgotten invitations and last-minute cancellations, MS can make keeping in touch more difficult. Our panel will discuss the importance of sustaining connections and patching broken or lapsed relationships with family, friends, acquaintances and old colleagues.
Many people with multiple sclerosis remarked that, during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns, the general population was getting to experience some slight level of the disconnection with which we in the MS community cope many days of our lives.
Our panel will consist of Dr Rebecca Maguire (Assoc Professor of Psychology Dept Maynooth), Emma Rogan, Campaigns and External Engagement Coordinator for the European MS Platform (EMSP) and Joan Jordan, had to leave full-time work as a software engineer, and all the comradery that goes with that, due to MS at age 36.
The panel will be answering questions from our MS community sent to us in advance. Please send your questions to the panel by emailing your questions to comms@ms-society.ie.
