Multiple Sclerosis Ireland, the national organisation providing vital services and support to the whole MS community, is encouraging Irish women throughout the country to get active for MS and sign-up for the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon taking place on Monday, 6th June 2016.
Funds raised by women taking part for people with Multiple Sclerosis will help provide one-to-one and family support including newly diagnosed sessions, physiotherapy and symptom management programmes through ten Regional Offices across the country; operate the MS Information Line to provide one-to-one professional support to people with MS; and continue to deliver specialised services in our MS Care Centre, Ireland’s only respite and therapy centre for people with MS.
Ava Battles, Chief Executive, MS Ireland comments: 'Getting active has great benefits for all of us. In my work I’m constantly inspired by people, people living with MS, people taking on challenges to fundraise for an important cause. It is always great to hear the positive feedback from those taking part in events like Women’s Mini-Marathon. It’s about the combination of a great personal experience while at the same time helping people with Multiple Sclerosis and their families.'
If you would like to join Team MS Ireland for the event then you can go directly to the Vhi Mini Marathon website to register. After you have registered then make your way to our website where you can register for your marathon info pack.
