The fifth annual World MS Day takes place on Wednesday 29th May 2013. The theme this year is Young People with MS. Before we begin to put the wheels in motion, have your say on what the day should be about.
Building on last year’s concept the overall campaign will be titled ‘Face MS’. The aim is to encourage young people with MS to face their MS with the support of others with MS, friends and family and service providers like health professionals and MS Ireland.
So far we are thinking of the following events and activities:
- A face MS website for people to talk about what they are facing with their MS and how they are facing it
- A special music gig and photography auction
- A Gathering event to bring young people with MS together from across the country
- An advertising and PR campaign to create awareness of MS in the public
- McVitie’s Digestives Tea parties to raise funds for local services like physiotherapy, counselling and one-to-one support
But what do you think? Before we start planning in earnest let us know what you would like from World MS Day 2013. Leave your comments below and let you imagination run riot!
