And what a fantastic day it was! We had really great weather (even a few sunburned faces!), but what was most inspiring was the generosity of the public. People supported us in fantastic numbers, giving as much as they could and it meant so much to our bucket shakers!
We raised over €2000, an enormous amount of money at any time, but when times are tough for so many people, we are even more grateful! Throughout the day we met some very generous people, not to mention some very interesting characters too, including a band who was taking time out to do some busking, in between their boat journey across the world, and a balloon artist who kindly donated some of his work to help make our bucketeers stand out even more! We also met a few famous people along the way including Strictly Come Dancing judge, Bruno Tonioli and the Taoiseach Enda Kenny!
