The World vs.MS

Turning challenges into change

So the challenges are in… and it really is The World vs.MS. The socially-driven initiative, which we are so excited to be a part of, aims to drive meaningful change in the lives of people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) and those who support them. And after receiving a huge 103 challenges of living with MS from people all over the world – it’s off to a great start.

The World vs.MS Steering Committee – people living with MS, carers, charities, healthcare professionals and innovators – are now working hard to shortlist these challenges. They’ll be spending the next couple of weeks reading and understanding all of the challenges shared, taking into account relevance, prevalence and the overall value a potential solution could offer to those living with MS when making their decision. Then it’s over to The World vs.MS Judging Panel – including our very own Harriet Doig and representatives from Entrepreneurial Spark, WIRED and Sanofi Genzyme – to use their knowledge and expertise from both the MS and innovation fields to choose the final three.

We’ll then work closely with the chosen challengers themselves to create three briefs providing a detailed overview of each challenge, which will be released on the 2nd August 2016, when it’s back over to you. The thinkers, the bright sparks, the inquisitive minds, anyone and everyone, to come up with an idea that might change the lives of those living with MS.

We’re so excited to be a part of the shortlisting process and just can’t wait to see the great ideas that are shared!
