Refit and Renovation Projects
In 2024/2025, MS Ireland is embarking on two major renovation and refit projects as part of our commitment to renewing our services and ensuring we continue to provide the highest quality of care for people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in Ireland. These projects will remodel our existing facilities and enable us to expand our services to meet the growing needs of the MS community. Resource Centre, Limerick
The new MS Ireland Resource Centre in Limerick will provide a welcoming space for people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). It features Limerick's first fully accessible gym, offering tailored fitness programs for all mobility levels. The centre also includes physiotherapist-led exercise sessions to improve strength and mobility, along with symptom management programs like fatigue management. Informative seminars will provide insights into living with MS, while the centre will serve as a community hub for shared experiences and support.
Care Centre, Dublin
Since the 1980s, MS Ireland has operated a 12-bed Care Centre at 65 Bushy Park Road, Dublin, offering respite and rehabilitation for people with MS and other neurological conditions. It remains the only Care Centre dedicated to MS in Ireland.
To ensure its future, we plan to transform it into the MS Ireland National Services Hub by 2025. This will centralise our services and improve care for the MS community nationwide. However, significant renovations are needed, and we are seeking support from our community to bring this vision to life.
