HRB APA 2024: Call for Academic Partnership

MS Ireland is seeking an academic researcher to partner with them for an application to the HRB Applied Partnerships Award (APA) 2024. The project aims to focus on mental health and will address the following provisional research questions:

  • What are the key characteristics of effective mental health interventions for people living with MS in a community setting?
  • What is the optimal evidence-based and theory-informed community mental health service for people with MS?

The HRB Applied Partnership Award call has a deadline of 18th December 2024. For more details, please visit HRB APA 2024.

Application Process

If you are eligible for this call and interested in partnering with MS Ireland, please submit the following:

  • A cover letter (max 2 pages) outlining your research experience and relevance to the program of work.
  • An outline proposal abstract (max 500 words).
  • Your CV highlighting work on mental health for people with MS and relevant methodological experience in complex intervention design and implementation.

Evaluation Criteria

Potential academic partners will be evaluated based on:

  • Track record of publications and research grants in the area of mental health for MS (50%)
  • Experience designing complex or mental health interventions (30%)
  • Methodological experience relating to the proposal abstract (20%)
