Broadcaster Aine Lawlor accompanied by the CEO of the Health Research Board, Enda Connolly launched a new information campaign aimed at people who have been asked to participate in a clinical trial.
The information campaign includes a new leaflet and dedicated website, two sources of information which will provide patients with independent answers to many of the questions which they may have. From the research which IPPOSI has undertaken, we know that providing information increases the positive attitude which people have about participating in a clinical trial. Increasing the willingness of people to participate in such research will inevitably increase Ireland’s capacity to conduct high-quality population health sciences research and thus help to develop new treatments and therapies for patients.
